Suicide Prevention Initiatives Volunteer Opportunities

We are fortunate to have volunteers working alongside staff to help implement the mission of Suicide Prevention Initiatives (SPI).

Our mission is to develop, implement, and fund suicide prevention projects in the United States and worldwide. SPI scientists decide what projects are most likely to prevent suicide, selects the investigators to work on them, and is an active partner in conducting the projects from beginning to end.

SPI is also concerned with providing support to survivors of suicide - children, youth, and adults who have lost a relative or friend to suicide.

SPI has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for people with all kinds of skills and schedules. Our volunteers help with administrative tasks and organize awareness and fundraising events. They serve on our Development, Survivors', and Youth Suicide Prevention Committees.

We are currently recruiting volunteers for upcoming special events and all committees.
